Last Taste of Summer Music Festivals

It’ll be four days into the fall, but the Last Taste of Summer Festival is set to squeeze the last drops out of the season while raising money for food relief. The evening, presented by Humbler.co, Chelsea Records NY & Sustainable United Neighborhoods (S.U.N.) will start at 7:00 pm at The Bushwick Generator and run until the last of the five acts booked have played.

Punk chanteuse Fiona Silver, dreamcore darlings Ok Cowgirl, singer/songwriter David Russell, Matty Frank’s low-key electro and Almost Sex—who describe themselves as “folky alternative post punk rock indie pop”—will be presented by the fabulous MC Chase Runaway. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the work of the North Brooklyn Food Relief Coalition.

Humbler.co connects people with causes they want to work for and helps organizations plan and promote their events. Working with the artist collective Chelsea Records and the food relief coalition Sustainable United Neighborhoods, they’re hosting the end-of-summer blowout to raise funds and awareness and give artists a chance to perform that’s been all too rare over the last year.

The date is Saturday, September 25. Tickets are $25 and food and drink will be available for purchase. The Bushwick Generator is at 201 Moore Street in Bushwick. For more info and advance tickets, go to humbler.co.
